The Hot 26 & 2 works better than Prozac. Trust us on this. Your own body is an endorphin factory. Getting yourself into the 26 postures will kick this factory back into action faster than any government stimulus paycheck program! Endorphin release varies from person to person but if you do exercise vigorously (like doing the 26 &2) you will probably experience multiple “waves” of endorphins for a long time after you leave the hot room.
Endorphins are chemicals produced in the brain, which bind to neuro-receptors to give relief from pain. Apart from making you feel like a rockstar, endorphins are also believed to enhance the immune system, reduce stress, and delay the aging process.

Aim to arrive 15 mins before class to check-in at the front desk and meet the teacher.
Front doors are locked promptly at advertised class time. Strictly no late admissions.
Bring a yoga mat, a large towel, and a large bottle of water.
Refrain from eating for at least 2 hours before class and come to class well hydrated.
Dress to sweat. Women typically wear workout shorts and sports tops. Men typically wear workout shorts or swim trunks, shirt optional.
Inform the instructor if you have any injuries, illnesses, or if you are pregnant.
Don’t worry if you are not flexible.

What is Hot Yoga exactly?
Hot 26 & 2 is a classic hot yoga sequence designed to be completed in 90 minutes exactly, consisting of a set series of 26 beginner postures and 2 breathing exercises. Hot Yoga is practiced in a room heated to 105°F (around 40°C) with a humidity of 40%.
We recommend starting with this class if you are new to the hot room, it is safe for complete beginners and will deliver results after your first visit.
Why put myself through 90mins in 105F heat?
Scientists have been studying the effects of training in the heat for decades. Studies have shown found that, in addition to an increased rate of perspiration (expect to sweat a bucketload!), training in the heat can boost your blood plasma volume (which leads to better cardiovascular fitness), reduce blood lactate (kiss goodbye to sore muscles) and increase skeletal muscle force (get ready to get strong like Arnold Schwarzenegger!). The heat in the room facilitates deeper stretching, whilst preventing injuries and 'babying' any pre-existing injuries you maybe nursing. The movements are gentle enough to be safe for complete yoga novices. The carefully designed sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises stimulates and restores health to every muscle, joint, and organ of the body.
We start every class by strengthening our respiratory system to boost our lung capacity in the pranayama breathing. In the hot room breathing becomes crucial. As one of the master teachers says: “Breath is the king of the mind.” The ability to breathe, stay calm and centered during challenging situations is an invaluable tool on and off your yoga mat. In the yoga room is where we finesse and learn the skill of responding to stress with stillness, poise and grace.

English Bulldog Determination. 26&2 series is a willpower training machine. Be prepared to go beyond your desire for the easy way, and submit to working hard in the poses.
Bengal Tiger Strength. Backward bending requires us to call on our internal warrior, to drop our fears and let the heart open. The flood of energy, youthfulness and joy after 90mins of moving your spine will light you up and empower you beyond your wildest dreams.
Investing your time to do it the right way. Be willing to spend 90 minutes with ourselves, to get to know ourselves and all that we are. Make no mistake, as a new student, you will want to leave the room during class to escape the heat, the mind, the sweat. Choose to show up and stay in the room for full 90 minutes. The payoff is priceless. You will have a sense of accomplishment, pride and more importantly a lightness in your spirit like no other exercise system you have ever experienced before.
Burn Calories. 105F degree heat, combined with the 26 yoga postures, will bring your heart rate up without pounding on your joints. All of our exercises are low impact on the joints. Depending on your current weight, heart rate and muscle mass, our classic 26&2 yoga class can on average burn anywhere between 500 to 1,000 calories per session. We have had students in class with a heart monitor who have burnt 1,200 calories in a single class!

Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and it is every bit as active in maintaining your health as your liver and kidneys. During the Hot 26 & 2 you will sweat more than you have in a Finnish sauna. Besides regulating your body temperature, sweat has two other functions.
Firstly we remove the toxic waste through sweat. Detoxification through your skin means toxins do not have to re-enter your bloodstream. We are exposed to toxins daily, through the air we breath, the food we eat, the water we drink and the various lovely potions we apply to our skin. The release of toxins through sweat creates a healthier body from the inside out.
Secondly sweat keeps the skin clean, supple and free of disease. One of the most common benefits of Hot Yoga is that it will transform your skin with regular practice. Your skin will become clearer, more supple and younger looking.
The heat not only cleans your body through sweating, it also enhances your endurance, increases your cardiovascular health, strengthens your immune function, increases weight loss and relaxes your muscles. We challenge you not wipe off your sweat in class, rather learn to love the heat and make the sweat your friend.
